Scenario

I have tried printing a FedEx label and I am seeing an error returned:

Insured value exceeds limit of 100 USD for the packaging type. (CURRENCY_AMOUNT=100

CURRENCY_TYPE=USD)

Solution

FedEx has set a maximum declared value limit of 100 per shipment for FedEx Envelope or FedEx Pak packages, irrespective of the destination.

To fix this issue, you can use one of the following options:

Option 1

Go to Shipping > Integrations > FedEx > Properties > scroll down to Packaging Mapping > map used Order Packaging to Your Packaging > Save:

It will allow to use another FedEx Packaging and leave the Declared Value tick in the configurator.

Option 2

Go to Shipping > Integrations > FedEx > Config > and there will be the following option present:

Disable the 'Declared Value' setting and Save changes.

This method will allow you to print the label without changing Packaging Mapping.

Option 3

Go to Shipping > Integrations > FedEx > Properties > check the spelling of the Extended Property:

Go to Orders > Open Orders New > right-click on the Order > View Order > navigate to the Properties > Extended Properties > and add the mentioned Extended Property to the Order with the value NO and Type as Attribute > Save the changes in question > print once more.

This method can be used when labels are being printed in bulk and other Orders are required to have Declared Value ticked.
