Please note this is a channel-specific article only applicable to eBay.

Generally eBay allows you to update most information on your listings, but there are some restrictions. If you try to update your listing via Linnworks with changes which are not allowed on eBay, you will get an error message.

Overview of what you can change:

  • For most listings on eBay, it is possible to edit the listing title, add or change photos, and add optional listing upgrades at any time.
  • For fixed price listings (Buy It Now) and auction listings with more than 12 hours left and no bids, it is possible to update the price.
  • In most cases, it is not allowed to change the listing duration or format. For example, you cannot change a fixed price listing to an auction listing.

As a rule, you cannot remove variations which have already had sales on this variation listing. However, you can always add new variations to a variation listing, unless the total limit of allowed variations is exceeded on the listing: 5 variation attributes, 60 variation items per variation attribute, and a total limit of 250 variation items per listing.
