IOSS & CN22 - What details should be printed on labels

Good evening Linnworkers!

With regards to the new IOSS numbers can anyone enlighten me on the following:

1. We are currently only selling to Europe from the UK via marketplaces. Orders are coming in and the marketplace IOSS number is being assigned to the order as expected. When we print the Royal Mail postage label the IOSS logo is displaying correctly. However, there is no mention of the IOSS number on the CN22. Should it be displayed or is everything transmitted electronically via the 2D barcode on the shipping label? Amazon state "The shipment of IOSS orders must meet specific customs label requirements. If you are shipping directly to the customer, you must display the Amazon IOSS VAT identification number, VAT exclusive order value and Order ID on the shipping label."

2. Do we still need to display our GB VAT & EORI numbers on the CN22?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi Dan,

Did you manage to find out if the IOSS number should be on the CN22?  I have the logo the same as you and when I file my manifests I can see IOSS number is being sent to Royal Mail but thought it should be on the CN22.  I have a ticket open with Linnworks at the minute so I will see what they say.

Mark

Hi Mark,

No, not found any more info other than Amazon recommending people use Click & Drop. Isn't it great to see that everything was tried and tested before going live ;)

We're sending stuff anyway and we've seen one item which was sent on 1st July has already been delivered in France. Just waiting for some Germany deliveries and then I think we can assume that all is OK.

Let us know if you hear anything

All the best

Dan

Hi Dan,

I have been reading on the Amazon forums over the last few days and some people on Click & Drop don't have it on the CN22 either, and are being told by Royal Mail it is not required providing the logo is present.  I have not heard back from Linnworks yet but will let you know when I do.

Regards,

Mark

Hi Mark,

What are you doing regarding putting your GB VAT number / EORI number on the CN22?  It seems that deliveries to France using the new services are getting through but any to Germany are just saying "Non-EU shipment - preliminary check for import" whatever that means!!

Cheers

Dan

Hi Dan,

We are still putting our GB VAT number / EORI number on the CN22, I'm not sure if we should but I'm assuming it wont make much difference if they can see the tax has been paid by IOSS.

We usually send about 100 parcels a week to Germany and a handful get the Non-EU shipment - preliminary check at customs.  They usually hold it for about a week before it is released.  We often get customers asking why it is delayed put luckily we are not having A-Z cases opened for them.

Hopefully this will be the last change we have to go through, we are getting a little frustrated with constant changes.

Regards,

Mark

Many thanks Mark

That's reassuring to know about the customs check and glad to hear that yours are getting through eventually. I'll keep a close eye on ours whilst keeping everything crossed!  Yes, let's hope this is the last change for a while and that things speed up. We'd normally be using PAN-EU but have been hit by ever decreasing max-inventory levels.. oh the joys of selling on Amazon! They certainly keep us on our toes!
