Hello Adam,
First of all I would like to apologise for the inconveniece this has caused.
The reason why there was an issue with printing today is that there were high printing loads which have caused strain on one of the printing servers. The issue has been identified and is resolved now.
There are several reasons why we are using printer servers, mainly because printing from a browser has technical limitations and is not efficient enough especially when printing big batches of orders. In addition, printing servers are more capable of processing large print volumes, and numerous simultaneous print jobs reliably and allow us to keep track of print metadata, which helps in investigations and enhances overall security.
The good news is that we have came up with a solution to avoid this from happening in the future and improve the performance of printing servers, as well as we are going to create additional printing servers in order to manage the increasing printing loads due to this busy time of the year.
I hope this information is useful to you.
Have a great day ahead!
Regards,
Angela

Having constant 'Print server issues' at your end begs the question on why we can't print directly from our PC that is 3 feet away from the printer?!!
Surely doing this and then Linnworks sending the data back to the server saying it is done would put much less strain on your systems. When we make sales or update shipping information, just the data is sent.
Your system is having to send pdf versions of invoices, picking lists, shipping labels etc - no wonder it struggles, I just don't see the need for it to be that way. Linnworks could then concentrate on keeping the channel information such as stock levels and pricing up-to-date, something that is often queued for far too long.
