Show Current Stock Levels of Child Items in Composition Screen

We have some "parent/composite" items that have a number of child items. When the parent item goes out of stock, we have to manually check each child item individually to see the stock levels and find out which of the child items has gone out of stock.
If the current stock level of each child item was displayed on the composition tab of the parent item, we could see straight away which one was out of stock.
It's only a small issue, but one of those minor annoyances when it does happen.

I can see the potential benefit of this and will monitor the voting for this feature, but at the moment there are no plans for this to be implemented.
In terms of how you can get this information more quickly now there are 3 solutions you can use that come to mind.
Dashboards > Primary Dashboard This has a section for Low stock in location which looks at your stock level in relation to your minimum level (must be greater than 0) and will provide you a list of items that are either out of stock or running low (less than minimum level + 10%)
My Inventory Create a view with a filter either for Available or Stock Less than 1
Dashboards > Query data Contact our scripting team to write a script to run as a custom script that will return items that are out of stock. You will need to define the criteria as to what you want to see reported and the conditions for which items are to be included. This is a chargeable service.
