Hi, I have previously been using the Desktop Version of Linnworks and the Sync button is at the top of the screen.
Today I have tried to use Linnworks.Net and I can't seem to find out how to force a sync through.
When I click the refresh button on the right hand side of the screen it says there are no Syncing Jobs but it says the following under 'Queued'
Trigger channel inventory update
Queued 15 Aug 2016 13:51
Trigger channel tasks
Queued 15 Aug 2016 15:30
How can I force a sync through so I can see my open orders - help please!
Thank you for posting on this forum.
Because Linnworks Desktop is a local application, triggering a synchronization via the blue sync button forces a 'local sync' which synchronizes all the information from the channels with your system.
Linnworks.net however, runs fully on 'autonomous sync' which means that a synchronization will go automatically without the need to manually trigger that. In order to follow the syncs the button on the top right corner (the one with the arrows) was added. When going there, you can see if there is currently running a sync (under syncing) Which syncs are queued (under Queued) and in case of a synchronization failing, you can see this under Errors.
If there are any errors which prevent the synchronization from completing, please create a ticket and add some details, we will be able to locate the issue that way.
I have 3 jobs under Queued:
- Ebay Order Sync (Queued 27 Aug 2016 10:42)
- Trigger Channel Inventory Update (Queued 27 Aug 2016 10:29)
- Trigger Channel Tasks (Queued 27 Aug 11:56)
yet when the time approaches, they just get postponed. Yesterday I made my first sale through Linnworks (yay!) and the tasks has been postponing since then. Any idea on how to force the sync? (Ie. even my inventory shows as if I didn't sell anything. I processed the order and so logically the stock should go down by the sold quantity, no?).
Congratulations with your first sale!
If you have sold on eBay and the order has been coming into your Linnworks, then this would indicate that the order has been downloading and that your sync has been working. If you want to see if there have been errors in any syncs, you can use the status bar where you have found the information on the times of sync execution under the tab 'errors'. If you see an error there you can click on it and you will be transferred to the Automation Logs page, where you can find very detailed information on your synchronizations.
You can process the order but still have the same amount of stock on your eBay channel if you do not have the 'update inventory' ticked under your eBay channel config, please find some more information here: https://www.linnworks.com/support/settings/channel-integration/channels/ebay-channel-integration/configure
