These changes are in response to the EU abolishing the EUR 150 customs duty exemption for low-value parcels, effective 1 July 2026. A flat-rate EUR 3 duty per item category will apply to sub-EUR 150 consignments shipped from non-EU countries to EU consumers.


The shipping team is actively working through the required carrier updates. This article will be updated as changes go live.

The article below provides an overview of the changes being made to each affected shipping integration. It will be kept up to date as updates are released.

FedEx

Changes are live.


The following updates are being made to the FedEx integration:

  • Regulatory details support & product identifiers- Item-level product identifiers will be submitted to FedEx as part of customs declarations.
    • ItemSku - A new item extended property used to declare the Product ID. If not provided, the Linnworks SKU will be used. (Live since July 2)
    • ProductMidCode - A new item extended property used to declare the Reference ID or Manufacturer Product ID. (Live since July 2)
    • NonStandardMidCode - A new item extended property used to declare a manufacturer or product supplier's unique code. (Live since July 2)
  • Orders shipping to the EU with a B2C recipient and a declared value under EUR 150 will be automatically flagged accordingly when submitted to FedEx.
    • Ensure that IOSS Number is assigned to the order, or the FedEx config in order to submit the above information.

Parcelforce

Changes are live.


New categories will be added to the Contents dropdown:

  • Merchandise will be replaced with Ecommerce Goods B2C
  • Commercial Sale of Goods B2B will be added as a new option


If Merchandise is currently selected for a shipping service, it will automatically be updated to Ecommerce Goods B2C.


To declare B2B shipments, you will need to create a separate shipping service with Commercial Sale of Goods B2B selected as the Contents value and assign it using Rules Engine. (Live since July 2)



Royal Mail OBA

Changes are live.


The following updates are being made to the Royal Mail OBA integration:

  • New "Nature of Item" Categories (B2B vs. B2C) - Live since June 3
  • ItemSku - A new item extended property used to declare the Product ID. If not provided, the Linnworks SKU will be used. (Live since July 2)
  • ProductMidCode - A new item extended property used to declare the Reference ID or Manufacturer Product ID. (Live since July 2)
  • AdditionalDutiesPrepaid - A new order extended property that must be set to True or Yes to indicate that additional duties or handling charges have been prepaid by the sender. (Live since July 2)
  • New DDP serviceslaunched:
    • BYL: International Business Parcel Tracked 0-30kgs C DDP (£1000)
    • BYM: International Business Parcel Tracked 0-30kgs C DDP (£2500)
    • RC1: International Tracked Parcels 0-30kgs E PDDP
    • RC2: International Tracked Parcels 0-30kgs E PDDP (£750)
    • RC3: International Tracked Parcels 0-30kgs E PDDP (£1000)
    • RC4: International Tracked Parcels 0-30kgs E PDDP (£2500)

Royal Mail Tracked

Changes are live.


These changes apply to BFPO (British Forces Post Office) shipments only.


The following updates are being made to the Royal Mail Tracked integration:

  • New "Nature of Item" Categories (B2B vs. B2C) - Live since June 3
  • ItemSku - A new item extended property used to declare the Product ID. If not provided, the Linnworks SKU will be used. (Live since July 2) 
  • ProductMidCode - A new item extended property used to declare the Reference ID or Manufacturer Product ID. (Live since July 2) 
  • AdditionalDutiesPrepaid - A new order extended property that must be set to True or Yes to indicate that additional duties or handling charges have been prepaid by the sender. (Live since July 2) 

UPS

Phase 1 changes are Live.

  • Phase 1 - B2B/B2C Indicators (Live since July 1)

B2B and B2C indicators will be submitted to UPS once the change has been approved on their side.


No action is required from sellers, as these indicators will be applied automatically based on whether a company name is present on the shipping address.

  • Phase 2 - Product Identifiers (November 2026)

UPS has confirmed that support for item-level product identifiers (such as Standard and Non-Standard MID codes) has been delayed until November 2026.


Linnworks will add support as part of the same timeline.


Other Carriers

We are in ongoing discussions with additional carriers who may also require changes. This article will be updated if further integrations are affected.
