This article covers essential updates related to the Linnworks FBA Inbound Shipments functionality.

What is changing?

Amazon updated its API on the 1st of March, 2023. This means certain functions in creating, editing, or viewing FBA shipments in Amazon Seller Central will not be reflected or updated in Linnworks.

Important! To avoid errors, Linnworks users should only create, edit and view FBA shipments within Linnworks. We strongly advise against switching between Linnworks and Amazon Seller Central when managing or viewing FBA shipments, as Amazon will no longer sync shipment updates between Linnworks and Amazon Seller Central. It will cause the FBA shipments to be read-only, and error messages will be presented. If this happens, a new FBA shipment will have to be created.

What actions are NOT recommended?

Opening an individual shipment from the Amazon Seller Central, Inventory > Shipments screen to view the Shipment summary will cause this FBA shipment to be read-only in Linnworks. From this point, you cannot change this shipment in Linnworks. If you try, an error message will be displayed.

That is why we do not recommend opening Shipment summaries from your Amazon Seller Central account.

What actions are allowed?

If you still need to log into your Amazon Seller Central and view FBA shipments from there, then opening the Inventory > Shipments screen is allowed. Reviewing the information on this screen will not cause any issues in Linnworks.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Unfortunately, this update is out of our control and has been made by Amazon. You can see the full details in their initial announcement here.
