We would find it very useful to be able to add notes to inventory items in the same way that we can to orders, so that we can easily see information relating to supply delays and product upgrades for example.
At the moment we put such information in a "memo" entry in extended properties but there is no obvious clue that such a memo exists on the main inventory screen.
A float-over speech bubble as in open orders would make communicating that sort of information much easier.
If notes are not possible then perhaps tags could be used to highlight items.
