Following a successful trial with some of our ‘Fashion Gallery’ sellers, Strike-Through Pricing – a feature that allows eBay sellers to demonstrate value by displaying a comparative (historical or recommended) price for a listed item – is being rolled out across managed seller accounts from September onwards.
Once enabled, the feature will allow sellers to display the comparative price for an item, correctly labelled according to whether it’s a Recommended Retail Price (‘RRP’) or a seller’s previous selling price (‘Was’), along with the saving expressed as an amount and a percentage. This will appear on both Search Results pages and View Item pages. We hope you’ll agree that this gives a very ‘retail-like’ user experience that buyers will recognise and respond to.
