When you ship a package from the UK to outside the EU you need to send a customs invoice with the package. When using FedEx as the carrier, they request that you send 4 paper copies of the customs invoice. However, they also accept digital customs invoices so if Linnworks supported that, we could ship with FedEx and not have to print customs invoices - it would all be taken care of electronically.
