Hello there,
Apologies for not replying to your ticket earlier. This is due to us having a higher volume of support inquiries.
Your ticket has now been updated. The labels will stay exactly as they are.
Hi Alistair,
There are ways around this, either by creating a invoice in Linnworks template designer to be the same size as a thermal label and include the order info box at the bottom.
You may need to run a few test labels to get the alignment correct. Any questions, let me know :)

Hi
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, but that does not able you to print 2d labels, just a standard ppi label
Its a workaround we are using, but missing out on the basic tracking royal mail now allow and will eventually be forced to use 2d labels anyway.
Thanks
Hi Alistair,
Sorry for the late reply, just arrived back from Germany.
The example I showed in the image will print out Royal Mail 2D barcodes and other integrated couriers like DPD, Yodel etc...
As long as you have Royal Mail integrated then this method (though a work around) will work. (I have a few clients using this as well)
Any questions, let me know :)

The layout and content of the Royal Mail Label that is produced through Linnworks has been defined by Royal Mail to meet their design requirements which is why the printed label does not contain any data relating to the individual items.
The solution described by Charlie will insert a table onto your invoice template that overlays the shipping label provided by Royal Mail, however if the inserted table covers any areas of the label that are crucial to the Royal Mail delivery process your parcels may be rejected by Royal Mail. There is also a risk of table running onto multiple pages if the number of items in the parcel is more than the number of rows that can be displayed in the space allocated. I am not saying don't use this solution, just to be cautious when taking this approach.
If you are using multiple couriers you will also need to look a different template for each courier as the design of the shipping label will change between couriers and therefore the position / space available for the inserted table will need to be adjusted accordingly

I've been in discussion with Royal Mail and they have confirmed that the lower section of label (currently populated with order id in linnworks) can be populated with other user data e.g. SKU Barcode etc. This is evident from labels used by other predominant companies and seller including amazon.
Seems extremely odd that a simple feature like this cannot be implement with control measure in place to ensure correct implementation, yet an addhoc workaround solution that can cause considerable problems is not being discouraged or prevented by Head of Implementation.
This appears to be a scheme to force those using sku's on labels to move to integrated labels and hence more profit for linnworks:

Very disappointing!
Hi Navid,
Just want to point of Linnworksstationery isn't actually owned by Linnworks but a Linnworks partner & long term customer - so they are not trying to push anyone to use the integrated invoice paper directly.
I was just helping a customer with this workaround but on some couriers (like APC which I found out this week) you can't use this workaround as the courier uses the whole label.
I can see your frustration with having to use the workaround but Linnworks does have some smarter alternatives, including:

Charlie,
Thanks for your response, we process around 200-300 orders per day, there are a large number of identical orders and by adding the SKU to shipping labels and printing order in ascending order they can be packed in batches and super quickly. I can't imagine anything being faster.
I can't see any benefits in using integrated labels, the cost of paper, the slow speed and shear volume of paper is ridiculous.
Quite frankly we've had it with linnworks, the poor support and the rude responses from them are shocking. They can't get this simple Royal Mail 2D barcode numbers to work properly. It can either be left on and gets automatically reported to channels (very bad) or has to be turned off completely. If turned off then the only way you can find the numbers is in the manifest and hats of to linnworks developers for that! It only lasts 40 days, you can't search in it, can only scroll and oh wait when you print the consignment as pdf (of course csv is too complicated) the 2d barcodes don't show up so you can't even search and find in pdf. Absolute rubbish, so we are having to keep it on but then turned off reporting to channel from integration setting and are now manually marking everything as dispatched on channels so we can avoid sending the 2d barcodes to the channel but still have access to the 2d barcode numbers if we needed them. It's for sure worth £150 per month!
Hi Navid,
Is this the problem where you send letters and packets via royal mail but the codes assigned to the letters are not accepted?

Surely its not a big ask to be able to print an sku on the footer of the 6 x 4 DMO label??
If you can print an order id, then why can't you have an alternative option such as reference or sku??
Its been 72 hours since I sent a support ticket, and you have not replied on this issue.
Linnworks needs to remind itself they are working for the customers who pay them each month.
One stop orders are able to do this, Do i really have to take my business elsewhere over an issues like this?
Or do you care??
