Problem
I have tried printing a UPS shipping label and am seeing an error returned:
121212: The requested package type is not allowed in a shipment from the origin to the destination
Solution
The error means that the Packaging Method picked is either missing or unsuitable for the Order.
To fix this, check the following points:
- If Packaging Mapping is missing
Go to Orders > Open Orders New > right mouse click on the Order > View Order > Shipping and Packaging > check which Packaging Type is assigned to the Order:
Then go to Shipping > Integrations > Properties > scroll down till Packaging Mapping > and check that Order Packaging Type is linked to UPS Packaging Type:
- If Packaging Mapping is already done
The error message means the mapped UPS Packaging Method cannot be used. Go to Shipping > Integrations > Properties > scroll down till Packaging Mapping >and remap Order Packaging Type to Customer Supplied Package:
