To delete a Postal Service from your Postal Services screen, simply select the needed service and click on the Delete button on the upper right.



A Postal Service cannot be deleted if:

  1. It is linked to a Shipping Integration.
  2. It is assigned to an open order.
  3. It is linked to a Channel Integration.
  4. It is the Default service.


Below are the error messages displayed on each case from above together with how to fix the issue:


1. A Postal Service that is linked to a Shipping Service in a Shipping Integration cannot be deleted.


Postal service "XXXXX" is linked to the "XXXXX" (XXXXX) shipping service

Please remove all the linking and then try again.



Remove the linking in Shipping > Integrations > Services to delete the Postal Service.


2. A Postal Service that is assigned to an open order cannot be deleted.


There will be the following error displayed on the lower right of your screen:


The Postal Service has open orders. It has not been deleted.

 


Remove the service from any open orders in your system to delete the Postal Service.


3. A Postal Service that is linked to a channel service cannot be deleted.


Postal service "XXXXX" is linked to channel"XXXXX": "XXXXX"

Please remove all the linking and then try again.


Remove the linking in Settings > Channel Integrations > Edit Channel Shipping on the respective channel to delete the Postal Service.


4. The Default Postal Service cannot be deleted.


There will be the following error displayed on the lower right of your screen:


You can't delete the default postal service.



The Default service cannot be deleted nor edited since the system needs a value to display when no specific service has been assigned to your orders.
