Royal Mail has released an updated label design for all their domestic services.

This new design will come into effect on Thursday the 23rd of April 2020.

This is how the design will change:

As you can see, the new design includes a new horizontal bar containing various routing codes, a description of the type of package, and the consignment's weight. Routine code is based on the delivery postcode; if the postcode on order is missing or incorrect, the error message will be thrown when the label is printed.

The size of the label will not change, so your shouldn't have to adjust your printer settings or template design, but it may be a good idea to inform your warehouse staff to avoid any confusion.

If you use integrated invoices and have positioned any template elements on top of the shipping label, you may want to double-check that they don't have to be repositioned to work with this new design.
