Dispatch Console can prompt the user to enter serial number of products being shipped to the customer at the point of dispatch. This is configured on individual SKU bases. When a user attempts to process an order in dispatch console, if there is an item that requires a serial number, the user won't be able to process the order until the serial number is entered, matching the number of items on order. 


In Linnworks

  • My Inventory
  • Edit Item
  • Set Serial Number required


In Linnworks Mobile dispatch console

  • Bring up the order with an item that requires serial number scanning
  • Each item that requires a serial number will display a Serial number Scan Required tag
  • Click on the tag to enter (or scan) a serial number for the product being shipped


The serial number will be recorded in the Additional Info for the order item.
